The Artist’s Way Blog is a group of creatives who will go through The Artist’s Way book, do the exercises and discuss the benefits, obstacles, confusions, disagreements, etc. with the others here. This is a 12-week program; all participants are encouraged to participate with the rest of us and comment accordingly. The success of a group like this depends on everyone interacting and sharing with others. We are glad to have everyone along for the ride! Prepare to be unblocked and have fun!

This looks very interesting. Could I participate even though I’ll be without internet access for the first two weeks of February?
Very cool! How to you “officially” participate?
Hello there. I am a serial AW flake, I’ve been trying to complete it for years (literally). Would it be too late to join you lot? I am in London. Let me know! Thanks. Christine
Christine, please try chanting nam myoho renge kyo (Tina Turner does this, you can see it on You Tube/Larry King Live) because for some reason, it allows you to complete stuff normally impossible to do, ie. you might find a through line towards being able to finish the book and get the best results, which is the whole point. You are not a flake! Try this.
Best wishes, Ardene

Hey! Would also love to join you guys. Have done the 12 week program before…. it completely changed my life. Have just started for the second time and I am finding it even more enriching. Look forward to hearing from you!

how does this wrk? does it start over every 12 weeks? i started 6 weeks ago, and havent done a thing for a few weeks, should i start over form the beginning? i know i need to commit to myself more…kids and husbands and excuses find priority.
I’m joining today. Is it too late?
I stumbled upon this book some years ago in a shop and bought it. I completed it. It was great,i discovered so much things i never thought about, i ended up not seeing the point in continueing with it, so i stopped…although i would like to try again!
Hello out there,
I’m getting ready to start the artist way for the one millionth time and although I see that last post was in 2008 I hope someone is still there to share this with…
I am traveling out of the country – Bogota, Colombia and left my artist way book at home. Is there anyone who has week 2 scanned with tasks? Blessings.
Is this still active? Can I subscribe and participate?
ive read the book…been wanting to start it but i just cant….im not a morning person, all my life.its going to be a totally diffrent body rhythm changes if i wake up earlier in the morning and really push myself to sleep early just so i can complete my usual sleep hours..can the morning pages be an “evening pages”?…..
also….if its ok to write directly using my netbook….it will be hard to place the pages where no onecan see it in the house…so my netbook makes it more confidential.
thanks.
I’ve just started a blog. Part of it is my journey on doing the AW. You might find it of interest. Please understand it took me four years to finally read the bloomin’ book and when I finally did, it changed my life. mistyearnold.wordpress.org Look under The Journey back to Vitality.
I am up to Chapter 9 and have been stuch here fo ages, so will try that Mantra, thanks Ardene. I believe you have to make the MP s yours and do them how they work for you best (mmm I must start them up again!!).
Good luck Jean, when I started doing the AW it certainly changed things for me!
heyy , i started doing morning pages , julia says there is no wrong way of doing them , but must be doing something wrong because i cant get anything on the page i write but its still in my head , its empty words . julia says get it on the page but i cant get it on the page somehow , cant get my fears on it and other thoughts , my writing dont connect with my fellings , its just empty writing . can someone help me ? or give me some tips ? does the morning pages really work ?? thanks from carl.
I don’t have the book any more. When I moved into one room in a senior’s lodge, I donated all my three bookcases full of books to the local library. However, I do remember morning pages, and am starting them now, and I’ve ordered another book. I had all the artist’s Way books. I wish I had them back.
I have tried the Artists way a few times but never completed it. I would love to join a group for support when will the next group be starting?
Would love to go through this with some other artists. Just got the book and found this site. Any still active here?
would love to be part of this
I would still be in to start with the next group how does this work? I think that in the past I found the trhee pages just too much with everything else I have to, achieve in the mornings. One full page would be far mor realistic for me.??
Moderator: Some of us posting on your home page, some here. What do you prefer?
Would like to join on Oct. 1st. I’ve been working through the book, but would love to go through it again with your site.
posting here is good for me.
I was so stunned to read Ardene’s msg, to chant nam myoho renge kyo…I just chanced upon this chant through a friend of mine who gave me the book The Buddha in your mirror and I’ve been chanting on and off for the last 2 weeks-The first time I started chanting, that very week I started something I’d always wanted to do but somehow never got around to-a food blog! Then I left it off and now started chanting again, just 3 days ago, and now I found this email saying the AW group is starting again on oct 1st-and the AW is something I have started and never been able to complete beyond the first two chapters, in the last 4 years since I bought the book. For me to get into this again, just after I started the chant, as it is another thing I’ve always wanted to do, but never did (just like my food blog) is it a coincidence, serendipity, or what?? I do hope this time I can complete it (I am a SAHM to a 15-month-old and also have a freelance job as a content writer) and it would be really nice if you all could support me in this :-)…..see you on the FB group! All the best! And, Nickey, don’t worry, I’m with you 🙂
Hi there! I first got the book in 2002 and as so many others, never got to complete it. Every now and then I do refer back to it and the one think I have stuck to (almost) religiously are the Morning Pages!
My wife and I decided to restart the book from the beginning, which we did on Monday this week and already I can feel my creative juices have started flowing! We have every intention of completing it this time round!
I will definitely join the FB group when it opens on 1 October!!
I’m on my 2nd day of this. so I am a bit behind, but I will still participate and share. Thanks for this site.
Starting tomorrow morning, just got the bk today.
I believe other website proprietors should take this web site as an example, very clean and excellent user friendly style.
Woow hi there, um really glad by that blog , i got the book from one of my friends , just read apart of it from years ago < and i want to get it back and start the program <any info. how can i get it through a website or other ?!!!
Hello to all~ Just began my journey with TAW yesterday. I’m wondering how many people on this site are currently going through the process. Looks like some older posts from previous years, therefore my question……would love to connect with others while I travel the path. Thanks!
Hi Sherrie,
I am on week 7 and I have changed so much already.
Would love to connect with others doing the artists way.

Joining this blog – it’s March 2013 – just hoping someone else pops in!
hi .. i’m sure you already realized this blog seems to be done … i just saw your comment and thought it may still be going myself .. anyway .. i just started reading the book a week ago and doing the exercises … have you been doing them for the last month? .. How’s it going for you?
Actually i just opened the book a week ago and I started writing everyday … went on my Artist Date … and started my own blog about this … i didnt know this one existed but was wondering how this blog works … If people are only making comments and no one is replying …. how does this work ..just wondering … Its now April 24 2013 and tomorrow will be a week ..its already working for me but i have been doing the Artist’s Way and didnt know it all my life … how weird is that … just not in this format or with this discipline … just instinctually …
looks like this blog is done …just read the rest of the pages … just adding this for anyone else to find … if you start at this page you probably won’t realize that … ok well blessing to all on your journey ..
