Thank you, thank you, thank you! Just one doubt…does typing out the MPs decrease the effectiveness, as compared to writing in longhand? “cos I remember in TAW, it says to write in longhand…but nowadays I’m just more comfy with the keypad that I’ll be glad if I could just type out the MPs!
I don’t think there is any more or less effective way to do MPs. Just do them how you think you will be most comfortable with them and how you think you will be most likely to stick with them.
One of the things Rebecca and I are really emphasizing in this round of TAW is that you can adapt it to your lifestyle and it still work. Cameron’s suggestions are just that: suggestions. Nothing is written in stone.
Morning pages in the afternoon…today I observed the sliver of our moon in the eastern sky – a wash of lightest cerulean blue with a layer of pale pink above – all this above the tree line of an Ozark ridge that frames our eastern view. This was my bus stop scene and I remarked to my rider colleagues that it remined me of Emmylou Harris singing “Quarter Moon in a Ten Cent Town.” Being of the same age demographic as I, they nodded an acknowledgement but held back any affirmations.
I do not have a singing voice. I have been called the “original dead pan” and have been accused of being of flat affect. On the other hand, a mentor once proclaimed that “Chris doesn’t speak often but when she does her comments are considered and meaningful for those gathered ” (I’m paraphrasing). So, this morning the quiet and simple beauty of the sky along with the memory of Emmylou’s lyrics and vocals accompanied me onto the bus and into the day. I tried not to hum off-key as we moved along. Chris
