-1- How many days this week did you do your morning pages? How was the experience for you? If you skipped a day, why did you skip it?
The universe will reward you for taking risks on its behalf. ~ Shakti Gawain
Desire, ask, believe, receive. ~ Stella Terrill Mann
-2- Did you do your artist date this week? What did you do? How did it feel?
Genuine beginnings begin within us, even when they are brought to our attention by external opportunities. ~ William Bridges
We will discover the nature of our particular genius when we stop trying to conform to our own or to other peoples’ models, learn to be ourselves, and allow our natural channels to open. ~ Shakti Gawain
-3- Did you experience any synchronicity this week? What was it?
Since you are like no other being ever created since the beginning of time, you are incomparable. ~ Brenda Ueland
I have made my world and it is a much better world than I ever saw outside.
~ Louise Nevelson
-4- Were there any other issues this week that you consider significant for your recovery? Describe them.
There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.
~ Martha Graham
BONUS:
It’s Halloween!! What did you do this week or weekend to “treat” yourself? Did you try the list for the weekend of needs and wants? Did you challenge your creativity in anyway for Halloween?
I had trick-or-treaters for the first time ever last night (our neighborhood did Halloween on the 30th). I recently moved into a house on a busy street and was so excited to have little goblins and ghouls to my door. I was stocked up on candy but realized at the last minute that I needed a costume to answer the door in. So, I went through my wardrobe and pulled together a rather cute “gypsy” costume. I dressed my dog as Elle from Legally Blonde (pink sweater and she is blonde) and my black cat went as a… black cat. We had a great time and it was such fun using what I had.
Today I have been blaring Christmas music and cooking all day. Sweet solitary bliss.
P.S. I did eight of my fourteen need / want weekend list items!
I did my MPs every day this past week. I also had a bit of an epiphany which also led to my artist date this week. I wrote about it in my blog.

It was a good week and a fun Halloween!
I did 2 morning pages this week – one was 5 pages in my journal…It has been a very interesting week. I went to a museum with my mother on Sunday..and Tuesday took a small artist date to a discount store and fabric/furniture store, then took a quick trip to the beach.. I enjoyed an ice coffee and pumpkin muffin while watching the quiet of the beach in the fall…I went to my art lesson Wednesday morning and worked on a painting of the ocean…I did well at the beach part of the painting but had difficulty with painting the rocks….
Thursday, Friday, Saturday and later today, I have been volunteering at the state campaign office …My friend knows the Governor and encouraged me to help out..I did meet him Thursday too and met a lot of interesting/nice people. I called people and collated lots of stuff, helped with mailings..It was a good growth experience as I only knew my friend there and can be shy around new people…It was even a growth experience to get there – as I have not driven into the city in a few months..since a car accident in May. My friend was busy so I had to get out of my shell and work with lots of people I did not know before…It was freeing and scary to drive into and around the city….It’s been a good experience and I feel it has helped my confidence – since I am unemployed …
I took yesterday off from campaigning to spend day with husband and answer the door for trick or treaters..I wore a headband with kitten ears and a scarf that said Happy Halloween…and ate too much candy!!
Checking in this week, I wrote MPs everyday and I bought geraniums and petunias for my flower pots and planted them for my artist’s date. I have been writing the affirmation in my journal that I have imagination and felt that Brenda Ueland’s idea in her writing book that Imagination works slowly and quietly was a synchronicity message.
