I have commited to two writing classes that will end in July and kick off my summer of writing (hopefully completing) my book. August is a *great* month for submitting to agents, so that is my target month to send it out.
Sue Shapiro, Anthony Swofford and James Campbell are my colleagues. I’d like my support system to be this group. I was wondering if anyone would like to read some snippets of the manuscript via email for constructive criticism…my email is dawnturzio@gmail.com
I absolutely will continue with the morning pages. They have become a therapeutic ritual of sorts. And, the Artist Dates are way too fun to let go of. So yes, they’re a go also.
I’ll read and critique your manuscript anytime you need me to!
I will sign as well.
I am committing myself to complete two writing projects: My Bladham Wood novel and a small collection of silly poems for children.
I intend to fill out and post a copy of this contract on my bulletin board in my room.
Dawn: I would also love to read and provide feedback for your manuscript.
Also, if some of you are willing, I would like to have some of you all read snippets from my story as well – when I’m ready. I’ve only got a little over 27,000 words and am planning some serious revision, so it might be a while before I’m ready to share. Maybe around July? We will all be completely disbanded by then (I hope not)?
Hi, I found your site and have lurked along the way, but never got around to chiming in. Congrats to all who made it through — or for however far you got, for that matter. Such a wonderful experience! I recently did TAW with another online group. Then started the next book, Walking in this World, afterwards, solo. But stumbled when life transition got in the way, and let it all get away from me. I’m gearing up to start over with that one, WITW, and wondering if this group is interested? Very similar to TAW in structure — weekly chpt, artist dates and MPs, plus weekly walking assignments.
Any interest?
Thanks so much ladies!
Sheila: I’ll definitely read your work as well. I’m becoming quite good at workshopping through my classes (if I do say so myself, LOL..) I will send our pieces more toward the summer as well since that will be the time I’m working on it more intensely
Can I have your email address? Thanks!
Thanks, Dawn!
My email address is thesheilaroom@yahoo.com and I look forward to seeing your work this summer.
I really enjoy reading and responding to other people’s work.
I miss having a class or group to sit around with and discuss writing like I had during my college days. It would probably be a good idea for me to take a day and go over to my old college campus and talk to my professors. Might make a fun artist’s date! And, they could likely direct me to some writing groups in the area.
In any case, I think reading each other’s writing will be fun!
I’ll be happy to read any manuscripts too, should anyone want to send them. You can go through the Contact link on my blog to get my email address.

I will sign!
I am continuing to play and learn watercolor and will soon begin with acrylics. Decide which will be my primary media. I have set the remainder of this year to play and learn; I will look into the art classes offered this fall at the art school; then will look into the possibility of offering works for sale; then I plan to schedule workshops with at least two (hopefully three) artists next year.
I’m planning to attend a pottery class in October (Nancy Reyner talks about an “art affair” in a different discipline often jumpstarts creativity and expands our persepective).
I would be delighted to read manuscripts! Part of my job involved editing – more technical works then literature, but editing. You can use my blog link to send me email. It would be great fun and a way to support a fellow artist.
I hope that we find a way to continue the group! To have shared something so special has formed a bond it would be a shame to lose.
You can send my info for the Walking in the World, I might just do that, I’ve got momentum going now.
Yes, I will sign and commit to 90 more days of MPs and ADs.
I have discovered that I really enjoy oil painting and plan to continue on my own after the class is over.
I have no writing experience but am an avid reader, so if anyone thinks I could add a different perspective, I’ll be happy to help out.
